What is a Service Plan?

A Service Plan allows customers to spread the cost of their servicing with Brown and Gammons over a number of years, by paying a monthly direct debit. You can also pre-pay for your MG Service Plan in full, should you wish to do so.

What are the benefits?

What are my options?

MG’s standard service plan covers our standard schedule service regime, set at 15,000 miles/12 months, giving you the option for peace of mind maintenance for up to 5 year/75,000 miles.  However, for any new car registered from January 2021 (or vehicles less than a year old and under 10,000 miles before the first scheduled service), you have an additional option. Our new Low Mileage Service Plan is capped at 10,000 miles per year and is aimed at customers who annually complete less than 10,000 miles. this therefore reduces the need to replace some components, which may not have deteriorated with mileage and can go to their anticipated age tolerance, and therefore makes the plan much more cost effective.

What is included?

An MG Service Plan covers the replacement cost of all scheduled parts, including the labour cost. Any items which at the time of servicing advised for replacement outside of the scheduled service items (e.g. brakes, tyres, wiper blades etc.) will be at an additional cost.

How do I take out a Service Plan?

All new MGs from Brown and Gammons come with a comprehensive manufacturer warranty as standard, along with an extensive anti-perforation and paint warranty.

MG vehicles are designed to the highest standards and then rigorously tested to ensure that nothing should go wrong. In the unlikely event that something does go wrong with your MG, you have complete peace of mind with your warranty.

New MG3- 7 Year Warranty (From 01.09.2018)

MG3 18MY models covered for 7 years or up to 80,000 miles (whichever occurs soonest), no mileage restrition during the first 12 months (some restrictions apply)

Provides free of charge repair or replacement by an Authorised MG Repairer (restrictions may apply)

Guarantees paintwork repaires to defects occuring as a result og manufacturing or material defect for the first 3 years (conditions apply).

Guarantees selected ‘wear and tear’ items that are subject to failure during the first 12 months of the Warranty period or prior to the first scheduled main service (restrictions apply). 

Guarantees any genuine MG parts replaced under the terms of the warranty for the balance of the warranty period.

MG ZS - 7 Year Factory Warranty (From 01.11.2017)

MG ZS - covered for 7 years or up to 80,000 miles(whichever occurs soonest), no mileage restriction during the first 12 months (some restrictions apply). 

Provides free of charge repair or replacement by an Authorised MG Repairer (restrictions may apply). 

Guarantees paintwork repairs to defects occurring as a result of manufacturing or material defect for the first 3 years (conditions apply).

Guarantees selected ‘wear and tear’ items that are subject to failure during the first 12 months of the Warranty period or prior to the first scheduled main service (restrictions apply).

MG3 registered on or after 02/01/2018 - covered for 5 years or up to 60,000 miles (whichever occurs soonest), no mileage restriction during the first 12 months (some restrictions apply).

Guarantees paintwork repairs to defects occurring as a result of manufacturing or material defect for the first 3 years (conditions apply).

MG GS - covered for 5 years or up to 80,000 miles(whichever occurs soonest), no mileage restriction during the first 12 months (some restrictions apply).

MG3 and MG6 - covered for 3 years or up to 60,000 miles (whichever occurs soonest), no mileage restriction during the first 12 months.

Provides free of charge repair or replacement by an Authorised MG Repairer (restrictions may apply). 

Guarantees paintwork repairs to defects occurring as a result of manufacturing or material defect for the first 3 years (conditions apply).

Guarantees selected ‘wear and tear’ items that are subject to failure during the first 12 months of the Warranty period or prior to the first scheduled main service (restrictions apply).

Guarantees any genuine MG parts replaced under the terms of the warranty for the balance of the warranty period.

Anti-Perforation Warranty

MG Warrants the metal body panels of your new MG car against perforation due to corrosion, which is the direct result of defects in material or manufacturing process.

Perforation is defined as corrosion or rusting through of a body panel on the vehicle from the inner surface, to the outer surface (resulting in a hole).

A 7 years anti-perforation warranty applies to the MG ZS from the date of registration.

The MG GS, MG3 and MG6 all carry a 6 years anti-perforation warranty from the date of registration.

For the warranty period to remain valid it is required that you have your vehicle inspected every 12 months for the duration of the anti-perforation warranty by an MG Dealer and documented. The dealer may charge for this service.

In the unlikely event your car is effected by perforation as described above, then an MG Authorised Dealer/Repairer will replace or repair the effected panel free of charge.

In some instances, your MG will not be covered these include, but are not limited to;

Perforation due to corrosion as a result of; an accident, damage, modification, abuse, industrial fallout, or carrying corrosive or damaging materials, or external influences.

Perforation due to corrosion caused by the use of non-genuine MG parts, or parts not approved by MG, including used parts.

Perforation due to corrosion resulting from a lack of maintenance, as described in the owner’s manual, misuse or abuse.

An incomplete annual inspection record.

Parts and Accessories Warranty

All Parts & Accessories purchased via S.S Logan & Sons for your new MG Motor vehicle are covered by a 12-month warranty.
